4. SPENDING MONEY ON THE WRONG PLACES

Budgeting is as much as important as planning. You might have well planed the project but if you don’t make budgeting an importance there is a big chance that you will spend more than expected or worse have to stop the construction because you don’t have any money to spend. 5. UNDER-UTILIZED ROOMS

The addition of a playroom, game room or multipurpose room sounds enticing, but only plan to build a room that will actually get used. What good is a wasted home gym where the treadmill is used to hold clothes from last season? Often an unused room becomes a dumping ground to place those things that never get used. If you plan on adding a spare room, make sure that it is a room that can transition well from one type to the next. A sewing room may never get used, but a sewing room or office that also doubles as a guest room could indeed get used often.

6. MAKING AN OUTDOOR SPACE AN AFTER THOUGHT

Just like the home office, having a backyard, patio or balcony felt like a perk rather than a must-have. As gatherings with friends and family got smaller and moved outdoors, a backyard or patio is the best place to celebrate small parties with more privacy. Due to the pandemic, limiting movement, a backyard is  great space where you can still enjoy little bit if the outdoors, stretch, enjoy the sun or even start a garden for the first time thus proving more that there spaces have become more important than ever.
